Hydro Ottawa spent thousands on Sens tickets, NDP

The Ontario NDP says Hydro Ottawa spent more than $28,000 on Sens tickets for the 2010/2011 NHL season.

A Freedom of Information request shows Hydro Ottawa spent $18,000 last April and another $8,600 for 36 tickets for an October 26, 2010 game.

112 tickets were also bought for employees and family to attend the same game but the utility paid just $11 each for those tickets.

Hydro Ottawa says the cost was incurred for the purposes of contributing to a positive work environment, fostering pride and ambassadorship.
