Construction season is here

Some say Ottawa has two seasons: hockey and construction.

With the Senators now done for the year, road construction is set to begin starting Monday.

Traffic will be affected on Carling Avenue between Merivale and the Queensway for the next 18 months as sewers are being replaced. Detours will be in effect in the area.

Construction will begin tomorrow as well on Somerset Street West between Preston and Spadina and west bound traffic will be affected. Construction is expected to be completed in November.
