Police arrest 28 in prostitution sweep

A weekend sweep by Ottawa Police targeting sex workers and the johns who hire them brought down more than 70 charges against 28 people.
“Project Reclamation” as it was called, took place in West and Central division.
Police took action after complaints from the community. The charges laid include; communicating for the purpose of prostitution, mischief, drug possession and breach of probation. Seven of those caught up in the sweep will avoid charges and attend “John School” instead.
