Many artists honour Record Store day

Today is the 5th Record Store Day, that promotes music lovers to go out and support local independent record companies instead on downloading music at home.
Many Ottawa residents tell 1310News that they did have an extensive collection but have since grown out of it, while a few others say that vinyl records best capture the sound and the art of the music.
More than 200 bands will be releasing material on vinyl exclusively to independent record stores.you can find out which stores are participating at www.recordstoreday.com.
