Fire engulfs home on Upper Dwyer Hill Road

A fire has fully engulfed a two-story family home on Upper Dwyer Hill Road near Almonte. Fire crews arrived on scene just after one o’clock and continue to battle the blaze.

Marc Messier of Ottawa Fire tells 1310 News that luckily nobody was inside the home at the time of the fire. Fire crews are currently trying to protect a nearby propane tank and neighboring forest.

Upper Dywer Hill Road is closed between March Road and Old Almonte Road.
