Liberal candidate Joe Volpe has dismissed one of his volunteers after photos popped up showing the person taking Green Party fliers out of mailboxes and replacing them with Liberal ones.
The pictures show the man going door to door ahead of Volpe, and then tossing the Green flyers in a recycling bin. Volpe’s office tells 1310News he wasn’t aware of what was happening and he does not encourage or condone actions like this.
Over the weekend election signs have been defaced or torn down across the country, and in Toronto Liberal supporters had their car tires slashed.
