Boil water advisory lifted for Ottawa community

Residents of a rural Ottawa community can drink their tap water again.

A boil water advisory that affected roughly 1,300 residents of Munster Hamlet has been lifted.

Officials say tests show the water is safe to drink.

The advisory was issued as a precaution after Thursday’s wind storm caused a power outage that hampered the community’s water distribution system.
