Police launch Project Erase

The Ottawa Police Service is cracking down on racing and other traffic related offences.

Police launched Project Erase on Friday.  It is also known as the Project to Eliminate Racing Activities on Streets Everywhere.

Ottawa Police says it will be out on the roads this summer, enforcing a zero tolerance policy on “stunting” and speeding.

So far the initiative has led to 40 speeding charges and 30 other charges under the Highway Traffic Act.
