Rideau Canal to open Friday

Parks Canada has announced the Rideau Canal will open the locks to the canal at 8:30 a.m., Friday.

This is the 179th year the Unesco World Heritage site will be open to boaters.

Sailors are advised that due to the high water in the canal there is still lots of debris in the water and that could cause problems.
