Stanley Cup comes to North Gower

Today is a big day for North Gower’s Kevin McNamara.

The grade seven and eight teacher from Frank Ryan Senior Elementary Catholic School is the winner a television contest that will bring the Stanley Cup to his home. McNamara has invited 99 friends and family to his house for one big party.

A life-long hockey fan, McNamara says he’s honoured to have the opportunity to meet former NHL-er Doug Gilmour, who will be the one bringing the cup to his home. McNamara says he’s already practicing the poses he’ll use when he has his photo taken with Lord Stanley’s cup.
