Catch-up immunization clinics open this week

OTTAWA, Ont. – Clinics will be open starting Wednesday for grade 7 and 8 students who missed the recent school-based vaccinations against Human Papillomavirus Virus (HPV), Meningococcal Disease and Hepatitis B.

Ottawa Public Health says although immunization against these diseases is voluntary, the vaccines are highly recommended.

The catch-up clinics will operate at several locations over the next couple days:

Wed. May 25:

Earl of March Secondary School
4 The Parkway, Kanata

TIME: 3:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Thurs. May 26

Ecole Garneau
6588 rue Carriere, Orleans

TIME: 3 :30 to 8 :30 p.m.

Mon. May 30

St. Paul High School
2657 Draper Avenue, Ottawa

TIME: 3:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Tues. May 31

Jim Durrell Recreation Centre
1265 Walkley Road, Ottawa

TIME: 3:30 to 8:30 p.m.
