Charges upgraded after beating victim dies

Police have upgraded the charges laid following an attack last month on King Edward Avenue. 28-year-old Blue Lonechild died last week in hospital.

He was the victim of an aggravated assault on May 17. Today police upgraded the charges against 45-year-old Joseph Cottreau to manslaughter.

He remains in custody.
