Overbrook fire causes $25,000 damage

Officials are still looking for the cause of a fire that caused around $25,000 to an Overbrook building last night. 16 firefighters and 6 fire trucks were called to the blaze at 257 McArthur Avenue just after 10 o’clock Saturday night.

Crews arrived to find a mattress on fire in a basement apartment. They put the fire out quickly and the one person inside the apartment escaped safely.
