Early morning Centretown blaze forces temporary evacuation

A five-storey apartment in Centretown west was evacuated early this morning after a fire erupted in the garbage room.
The blaze was called in just before 4:30 a.m. at 170 Booth Street and crews had it out in less than 10 minutes.
Residents have been allowed back.
Damage was minimal, estimated at $1,500.
