Same hackers behind Sony, Nintendo break-ins target Capitol Hill

That band of computer hackers called Lulz Security is at it again.

The hackers were able to worm their way into a Senate server that supports the chamber’s public web site.

Word of the breach comes from a Capitol Hill law enforcement official, who says the intrusion was “inconvenient” but didn’t compromise the security of the Senate’s network, members or staff.

The hackers said the release was a “just for kicks” attempt to help the government “fix their issues.”

Lulz Security has claimed credit for hacking into the systems of Sony and Nintendo and for defacing the PBS web site after the public television broadcaster aired a documentary seen as critical of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.

Lulzraft hacked the Conservative site last week to say Prime Minister Stephen Harper was taken to hospial after choking on a hash brown.
