Fatal shooting in Surrey gang-related

SURREY (NEWS1130) – A deadly shooting at 131st Street and 111th Avenue in Surrey yesterday has neighbours shaking their heads. Police say the shooting is targeted and gang-related.
Police haven’t released the victim’s name, but will only say he is 24-years-old, from Vancouver and is well known to them.
The shooting happened around 3:30 p.m. Friday in a residential area. He was found by police on the side of the road and died a short time later.
“Honestly, I feel this developing in society. The hockey game was a perfect example, I don’t want to go back to that, but you get a whole bunch of youth that see a little bit and jump on board instead of helping. What’s wrong with this picture?” says one neighbour.
Another man who didn’t want to be interviewed did say he saw some sort of an argument between the occupants of two SUVs around the time of the shooting.
