Flooding closes part of Dunrobin Road

Friday’s torrential rainstorm has resulted in flooding that has washed away part of Dunrobin Road. The road is closed between Kinburn Side Road and the Constance Bay turnoff.
The guard rail on the bridge is hanging and no longer attached.
Steve tells 1310News he had six inches of water in his basement.
“Our driveway washed out. The city came and repaired that so that was good. The ditches are full to capacity and it’s just tearing up, it’s amazing how much damage water can do.”
Nearby residents keep bringing up the fact that this is the third flooding in the last year and a half. Still, most are taking it in stride, saying the detour is not too inconvenient.
