Lansdowne Park project could be scrapped

The longer it takes for a deal on Lansdowne Park, the greater the chance the whole redevelopment plan will be scrapped, according to the city’s lawyers.

The city is battling the Friends of Lansdown in court and their lawyers have started to lay down their defence of the project.

The friends say the city broke its own rules by sole-sourcing the project to the Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group.

A special council meeting will be held July 5th to discuss the Lansdowne project.
