Funeral for Constable Garret Styles Tuesday

Around 6,000 officers from across Canada and the U.S. are expected to attend the funeral for York police Constable Garret Styles today. You can watch the procession and funeral on Rogers Television province-wide on Rogers TV cable channels.
The funeral procession will start at 10:30 a.m. from Upper Canada Mall and head south on Yonge Street to Eagle Street, and then west along Eagle to the Ray Twinney Complex. During this procession, Yonge Street will be temporarily closed from Kingston Road to Eagle Street.
A large screen on the southwest side of the Ray Twinney Complex in Newmarket will broadcast the ceremony for the overflow from the community centre, which can hold 3,100 people.
GO Transit has announced they will be waiving the fare for police, fire and emergency services personnel across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area traveling to attend the tribute and funeral in Newmarket. All emergency workers are asked to identify themselves by wearing their uniform or carrying identification while traveling.
The 15-year-old driver charged with first-degree murder in the car crash east of Newmarket is due back in court on Thursday.
