Canucks pre-season schedule released

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Canucks have released their 2011 pre-season schedule. The Canucks begin the pre-season with a split-squad playing Calgary at Rogers Arena on September 20 while the other split-squad visits Calgary the same night.

The Canucks round out the pre-season with two games apiece against Western Conference opponents Edmonton, Anaheim, and San Jose. Vancouver’s last game of the pre-season is Saturday October 1st when they host the Oilers at Rogers Arena.

The Canucks also announced today that they will host the 2011 Young Stars Tournament in Penticton for a second consecutive year beginning on Sunday, September 11th. The Young Stars Tournament is a round-robin tournament, featuring prospects from the Canucks, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, San Jose Sharks and Winnipeg Jets.
