A major transit update is expected Thursday from city hall.
Mayor Jim Watson will give an address on transit at 3 pm Thursday.
Transit Chair Diane Deans says she expects councillors to hear about the affordability and functional design on the city’s planned light rail line.
Councillors are expecting to get a more accurate estimate of what the project will cost.
A revised route under queen street will allow the city to hit its $2.1 billion budget target for the first phase of the project.
