Space Shuttle Atlantis to blast off Friday

The Space Shuttle Atlantis is fueled and ready for its final takeoff and the final mission in NASA’s 30 year space program.
The 11:26 am launch is scheduled to go ahead, in spite of just a 30 per cent chance of favourable weather.
As many as one million people are expected to catch a glimpse of the Shuttle Atlantis as it blasts off on its final mission, bringing an end to the U.S. space shuttle program.
Five Canadian astronauts will also have a front-row seat at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral to watch the final shuttle launch.
