Fire at South Keys Loblaws causes extensive damage

Ottawa Fire was called to the South Keys Shopping Centre Sunday evening after a fire broke out at the Loblaws grocery store.
Ottawa Fire’s Marc Messier told 1310News the fire started in the Deli’s deep fryer and store staff were able to put the fire out before the fire fighters arrived.
There were no injuries.
The fire caused $200,000 in produce damage and $10,000 in equipment damage.
The store will be closed for the rest of Sunday evening and might re-open Monday.
