Tractor trailer on Belfast Road Tuesday night

A tractor trailer fire at boyd moving on Belfast Road gave firefighters a challenge Tuesday night.

The call came in around 9:45 pm after smoke was seen coming from one of the tractor trailers in the lot, and when crews arrived they found a trailer full of matresses from front to back on fire.

Ottawa Fire’s Marc Messier tells 1310News it took a while to get the blaze under control because of all of the mattresses.

The trailer was moved to an area where the fire couldn’t spread.

There’s no damage estimate yet.
