Progress is being made when it comes to restoring electricity to Hydro Ottawa customers who had their power knocked out after Sunday nights storm.
Power has been restored for more than 38 thousand customers after the severe storm, and work continues to bring the lights back on for another 1,900 customers who were affected by 50 isolated outages accross the city.
The affected areas include Pleasant Park, Britannia and Cumberland Ward.
It’s expected the power will be brought back on in the next 24 to 48 hours, with outages affecting multiple customers being worked on first.
The hardest hit areas include Cobden, where around half of the customers were experiencing outages.
At the peak of the outage, more than 58,000 Hydro One customers were left in the dark.
