Serious crash near Smith’s Falls

A Kanata woman has been airlifted to hospital ater a serious crash near Smith’s Falls.

It happened around 1 p.m., Friday, when a dump truck collided with a van on Highway 15.

There are reports a tire may have come off the truck, causing it to veer into the other lane.

The driver of the dump truck was not hurt.

Highway 15 was closed through the scene of the crash for most of Friday afternoon, but has since re-opened.
