Record OC Transpo ridership

It seems more people in Ottawa are leaving the cars at home and hopping on the bus these days.
OC Transpo saw a record-breaking 24.9 millon rides recorded between April and June.
Ridership had a 9.9% increase over the same time last year and more than doubled the national average increase during that time frame.
More comfortable buses, the expansion of the U-Pass program and the high cost of gas are being credited for the jump in ridership.
