Man charged with attempted robbery

A 36 year old Ottawa man is facing a slew of charges following an attempted robbery yesterday on Richmond Road. Police say a man armed with a knife tried to rob a store on the 36 hundred block of Richmond Road last night around 7:00. He fled empty handed but was arrested a short time later. Adam McDougall is charged with attempted robbery, weapons offences and impaired driving. He is to appear in court this afternoon.
