Mounties still searching for suspect in Surrey shooting

SURREY (NEWS1130) – It looks like a man who was shot overnight at his home in Surrey was deliberately targeted.

Mounties say the 30-year-old was outside his home on 150th Street at 82nd Avenue just before 11 p.m. talking with two neighbours when a man came up and started shooting.

The victim took at least one bullet to the stomach. He is expected to be okay. No one else was hit.

The suspect ran off. The only description police have of him is he’s 5’6″ and was wearing a black mask and black hoodie at the time. Mounties say no one involved has ties to gangs.

If you have any information, you’re asked to call the police or Crimestoppers.
