Environment Canada adds five more tonadoes to list

Environment Canada has added five more tornadoes to the tally for this season bringing the total to 12, the provincial average.  

The summer severe weather season in Ontario normally runs from late April until early October.

Environment Canada is also investigating other severe storms during August and will determine if they also qualified as tornadoes.
