What’s open and closed on Labour Day Monday

With Monday being a holiday, there are the usual closures around the city:
Client Services:
Ottawa City Hall and all seven Client Service Centres will be closed.
The city’s Provincial Offences Court will be closed.
Garbage and recycling:
There will be no curbside green bin, recycling, garbage or leaf and yard waste collection on Labour Day. Labour Day pickup will take place on Tuesday. The collection of garbage, green bin, leaf and yard waste and recycling materials will be delayed by one day for the week.
Transit service:
OC Transpo will operate on a Sunday schedule on Labour Day.
Recreation services:
Many pools, arenas and fitness centres will be open on Labour Day, but many registered classes are cancelled.
Cultural services:
Most programming at arts centres, archives, galleries, theatres and museums will not be offered on Labour Day.
Municipal child care services:
City-operated Child Care Centres will be closed on Labour Day.
Library services:
All branches, departments and services of the Ottawa Public Library will be closed on Labour Day.
Malls:
The Rideau Centre will be open from 10am to 6pm but other major Ottawa malls will be closed on Labour Day.
All grocery stores, beer stores and liquor stores will be closed on the Ontario side.
