Two people have been killed after a collision with an ambulance near Calabogie.
OPP say the car was heading south on Calabogie road between Burnstown and Calabogie around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday when it hit a Renfrew County Ambulance coming the other way.
Both people in the car died at the scene, the two paramedics in the ambulance suffered minor injuries and were taken to Refrew Victoria Hospital.
A detour is in place while OPP investigate. Traffic is being rerouted at Calabogie Road and Murphy Road, up to Ashdad Road, then onto Brydges Road and returning to Calabogie Road. Motorists are urged to avoid the area if possible due to the long detour on rural roads. The road is expected to be closed all night.
