Calabogie crash victims identified

The identities of 2 people killed in a head on crash on Calabogie Road over the weekend have been released.

The Ontario Provincial Police have identified them as as 25-year-old Mitch Albert of Ottawa and  27-year-old Linsey Cote of Beckwith.

The car slammed into an ambulance which was not on a call and did not have a patient on-board Saturday afternoon.

The 2 paramedics managed to get themselves out of their vehicle and immediately went to the aid of the people in the car.  They were pronounced dead on the scene.  

The paramedics supervisor praised their actions, despite the injuries they received in the crash.  Both were taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
