Ottawa bars have still not gotten the message.
A crackdown by police Monday resulted in more than 30 charges for security guard violations.
Under the private security and investigative services act, security guards and the businesses selling their services must be licensed.
If a security guard is working without a license they could face a maximum fine of 25-thousand dollars and a year in jail.
