The RCMP says it will be conducting a simulated VIP visit in Ottawa Friday.

The Mounties say a motorcade, escorted by Ottawa police and RCMP, will visit several locations between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Motorists are warned they could face slight traffic delays along the motorcade route.

The exercise is part of a VIP security training course involving Mounties from across Canada and six Ottawa officers.
