Twenty-nine-year-old man sentenced for driving while intoxicated

A 29-year-old man has been sentenced to ten months in jail and a four year driving ban for driving while intoxicated.
Camilo Aguilar was one and a half times over the legal limit when he crashed his car into an apartment building on Meadowlands Drive in December last year.
The crash left him with a broken arm and other injuries but his friend, Daniel Chaves, suffered a brain injury.
The judge said Aguilar was very remorseful and he did not feel a lengthy jail sentence would be warranted in this case since Aguilar is not likely to re-offend.
