The Sens win their 3rd straight game

EDMONTON – The Ottawa Senators have now won three straight games, and are above .500 once again with a 10-9-1 record after 20 games. The Sens took down the Edmonton Oilers 5-2.
Milan Michalek scored his 12th goal of the season, and added an assist. The Sens forward now sits one back of Phil Kessel who leads the league with 13. Erik Karlsson also had his 17th assist on the season, tying him with Daniel Sedin for first in the NHL.
The other Ottawa goal scorers were Colin Greening, Zenon Knopka, Kaspers Daugavins and Jesse Winchester. Anton Lander and Ryan Smyth were the Oilers goal scorers. Smyth now leads the team with 11 on the season.
It was Edmonton’s fourth straight loss. Goalie Nikolai Khabibulin was pulled after giving up 3 goals in the first period. He was replaced by Devan Dubnyk who allowed two more goals.
The Senators are now 3-1 on their five game road trip. They finish up their trip across Canada on Sunday in Vancouver at 9:00pm eastern time.
