C. difficile patients drops from five to one

The worst outbreak of C. difficile which affected Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario appears to be under control.
The number of patients who battled the C. difficile bug has dropped from five to one.
CHEO declared an outbreak of the potentially fatal infection early in November after first diagnosing three patients.
They then diagnosed two more people with the infection soon after.
The lone patient with the infection remains in isolation in ward 4 North at the hospital.
