A day after launching a home delivery service to help give homeless young people jobs, the Beau’s Brewery initiative was shut down because of complaints from an unnamed brewery.
The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario let the Vankleek Hill brewers know on Thursday – the first day that Buy Your Beau’s online was being run by Operation Come Home.
Beaus founders Tim Beauchesne and his son Steve say the commission wouldn’t tell them who launched the complaint – that was based on a technicality about home deliveries.
About 10 deliveries were made, and now the two homeless youth who would have had a job are out of work again.
Operation Come Home will be filing an appeal of the complaint with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
