St.Giles congregation locked out

The congregation at St.Giles Presbyterian church will be attending Sunday services today, but not in the actual sanctuary itself.

The Citizen reporting the congregation has been forced to pray in the basement, as the Presbytery has locked the congregation out.

It’s all in response to a petition signed by 54 members of the congregation, to have their current minister removed.

The Presbytery has decided that move is unnecessary and said the petition showed a lack of respect.  It adds that until the congregation repents, it will be forced to remain in the basement.

The minister calls it an immensely complicated situation.
