DALLAS – The Ottawa Senators mini win streak was snapped at 2, after a 3-2 loss to the Dallas Stars. The Stars scored two goals in the final six minutes for the win.
Erik Condra (3) and Milan Michalek (15) were the goals scorers for the Senators.
The Sens are now at the tail end of their longest road stretch of the season. The team has played eight of their last nine games on the road and have an 5-3-1 record over that stretch.
They finish it all off with a game in Washington on Saturday night.
The Sens had a different look in Dallas, and not just because the players have shaved their mustaches. Filip Kuba was out with an upper body injury, he was replaced by Brian Lee.
It was just the 3rd time this season that both Lee and David Runblad were in the line-up together. The team has now lost all three of those games.
Also of note, Matt Carkner has been sent down to Binghamton of the AHL on a conditioning stint. The enforcer has yet to play a game this season due to a knee injury.
