Water in Smiths Falls safe to drink again

A boil water advisory for Smiths Falls and the Atironto Subdivison of the Township of Montague has been lifted.
The advisory was issued Sunday due to turbity in the water.
The Leeds, Grenvile and Lanark District Health Unit conducted 3 separate tests which have since shown no bacterial contamination.
The health unit advises residents to flush their their water by running taps for at least 60 seconds before using if they have not used water since Sunday afternoon.
