Bones found in Camille Cleroux’s backyard identified

A DNA analysis shows the bones found in the backyard of a Heatherington Road townhome on Halloween belonged to the missing wife of an accused serial killer.

The bones have been identified as those of Lise Roy. Roy is the ex-wife of 57-year-old Camille Cleroux. She disappeared in 1990.

Police scoured the backyard for five days and reportedly found a pair of thigh and leg bones along with parts of a forearm and several fingers.

The remains were shipped to a forensic anthropologist in Toronto.

Cleroux is charged with three counts of first-degree murder.  His preliminary hearing had just begun when the body was found. It was put on hold in early November, while police analyzed the bones.

The hearing should continue in March for 4 days of testimony that will include a DNA expert and a forensic anthropologist.
