New Hampshire primary underway

Polls opened Tuesday in New Hampshire, the first primary in the race for the Republican presidential nomination.

Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney is widely expected to win.

The first votes were actually cast just after midnight in tiny Dixville Notch.

Romney and former Utah governor Jon Huntsman are tied for the lead with two votes each.

Romney gave his opponents some ammunition when he made the comment, “I like being able to fire people who provide services to me,” during a speech.

He was referring to big drug companies, but Romney’s rivals are seizing the opportunity.
