Nearly 400 people gathered at Dow’s Lake this morning for the 18km event.
Participants skated for 8 kilometres then skied 5 kilometres through the arboretum and finally ran 5 kilometres back to the finish line at Dow’s Lake.
Event director Rick Hellard tells 1310News they use championship timing for the race, with every competitor wearing a computer chip around their ankle that keeps track when they go over different sensors in the ice.
