The Coalition for Quebec’s Future denied official party status

Quebec’s newest political party has suffered a defeat in the legislature even though it sits close to the top of the public opinion polls.

The Coalition for Quebec’s Future has been denied official party status because it has only nine members in the National Assembly.

It takes at least 12 seats to be recognized as a party.
