Vancouver salts the Avalanche

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Canucks beat the Colorado Avalanche 3-1 on Wednesday night.

David Booth opened the scoring just thirteen seconds into the first. He shoveled in a backhander for his third goal in as many games. His point streak has now been extended to four games.

Erik Johnson burried his third of the year for the Avalanche in the middle frame. “Canuck Killer” Milan Hejduk picked up an assist on the goal.

However, that’s where the scoring would end for Colorado.

Jannik Hansen blasted his 14th of the season past Semyon Varlamov late in the third to give the Canucks the lead.

Then Alexandre Burrows reached a career milestone by filling the empty net near the one minute mark. He has now scored 20 or more goals in four straight seasons.

The Canucks are back at it again on Saturday night. They will host the Toronto Maple Leafs for the first and only time this season.
