Man survives ten storey fall; in critical condition

OTTAWA, On. — A 39-year-old man was rushed to hospital in critical condition after falling ten stories from an apartment building near in the 2000 block of Carling Ave.

Garth Tourangeau of Ottawa Paramedics tells 1310News the call came in just before 11:30 a.m. Monday morning. Tourangeau says paramedics were on scene within three minutes.

The man was transported to the Ottawa Trauma Centre with aggressive Advanced Life Support.

The man had fallen onto the frozen cobblestone walkway in front of the building.

Ottawa Police say there will not be a criminal investigation.
