Firefighters get upper hand on grass fire near airport

OTTAWA – Fire crews have put out a large brush fire that broke out Wednesday afternoon near the Airport Parkway.

The fire burned between 60 to 100 acres of grass. A total of 9 vehicles responded to the scene between Lester street and Mac street before 4 p.m.

The cause of the brush fire is under investigation.
