OTTAWA, On.- Three people suffered minor injuries in a highrise apartment fire Friday morning in Vanier.
The blaze broke out on the tenth floor of a building at 390 Montreal Rd.
The lone occupant of the unit was not home at the time, but three people in nearby units were treated on scene for smoke inhalation.
Marc Messier of Ottawa Fire told 1310News arson is not suspected.
“We don’t believe so because the occupant wasn’t home at the time,” Messier said. “It could be a kitchen fire to anything.”
The damage was contained to the single unit.
Residents were not allowed back in immediately as crews needed to investigate the blaze.
